Klaassen: 'It feels like a defeat'

Davy Klaassen said he felt like Werder Bremen had lost the game after FC Nürnberg scored a late equaliser and earned a point.
Werder Bremen were on course to take a win against FC Nürnberg at the Weserstadion today, but debutant Virgil Misidjan earned the away side a point with a late equaliser. After the game, Werder's players couldn't hide their disappointment.

"It feels like a defeat. We were the better team, we just didn't score. We should have won the game," Davy Klaassen said after the final whistle and continued:

"We gave the ball away too often in the second half and we gave them too much room. We have to be better than that next week."

Nuri Sahin was happy to make his official debut for Werder, but admitted he had hoped for a win.

"I would have rather come away with three points on my debut. We just didn't finish the game off today, and you're punished for that in this league," he said.

After today's result, Werder are 7th in the Bundesliga after getting five points out of the first three games.
