Kruse: We need to internalize a winning mentality

Werder Bremen captain Max Kruse says the team is currently lacking winning mentality.
Before the season, Werder Bremen sporting director Frank Baumann and head coach Florian Kohfeldt made it clear that the main ambition this season is to qualify for European football.

However, after the first three games of the season, Werder captain Max Kruse feels some players of the team need to internalize a winning mentality for the goal to be achieved.

"It should be time for everyone to internalize a winning mentality. 'Flo' has brought it to us since he arrived. The team knew relatively early whht the objective is. Therefore, we can't hide behind it anymore," Kruse told Bild and added:

"For some, it came as a surprise that we have set this goal, and not all players have come to grip with it yet. You have to say quite honestly that the gap between the claim and the reality is still too big."

Werder have got five points out of the first three Bundesliga games of the season.
