Bayern duo fit for Benfica clash

Both Leon Goretzka and Franck Ribery are in Bayern München's squad for the Champions League game against Benfica.
Leon Goretzka and Franck Ribery will both be available for Bayern München's Champions League opener against Benfica in Portugal on Wednesday.

Goretzka had to stop training yesterday after hurting his right foot, which was subsequently bandaged, while Ribery missed the training session due to stomach pain. But, apparently, the duo have been passed fit to travel with the team to Portugal today.

"You don't always have to dramatize things. It was just a good idea to stop the training yesterday in order to cool it properly. I think that will not be a problem," Goretzka told Sport1 today.

That means that Corentin Tolisso, Rafinha and Kingsley Coman are Bayern's only absentees in Portugal.
