Leon Goretzka could be in contention to face France after all

Germany midfielder Leon Goretzka could be involved against France after all.
Germany coach Joachim Löw has revealed that Leon Goretzka could make the squad for his side's Euro 2020 opener against France on Tuesday.

The Bayern midfielder has been struggling with a muscle injury and was initially ruled out of contention by Germany general manager Oliver Bierhoff last week.

However, speaking at the pre-match press conference on Monday, Germany coach Joachim Löw revealed that Goretzka may be able to play after all.

"Overall, Leon has made a very good impression and the injury is fully gone," Löw told reporters.

"He won't start tomorrow, but we will chat after the final training session about whether he'll be in the squad."
