Suat Serdar completes Hertha switch after passing medical

Suat Serdar is now officially a Hertha player.
Suat Serdar has completed his move to Hertha BSC from Schalke 04, the two clubs have announced.

After the parties reached an agreement last week, Serdar has now completed his medical and signed a contract until 2026 with the German capital club.

"Suat is a skilled player with the ability to control a game from midfield and who can serve for surprise," commented Hertha managing director for sport Fredi Bobic.

"Although he is coming off a difficult season, he has a lot of potential and strength, which have allowed him to become a full Germany international already. He will add flexibility and momentum to our midfield."

Serdar, who will wear the number 8 shirt for his new club, said:

"I knew right away that I wanted to join Hertha BSC. The club presented me with a clear plan that convinced me. I want to do my part to ensure that this season is successful."

Hertha have paid a reported €8 million to sign the central midfielder from Schalke.
