Reports coming out of Italy have suggested that AC Milan are in pursuit of VfB Stuttgart and Austrian striker Sasa Kalajdzic.
Italian publication calciomercato.com has reported that the AC Milan management have held discussions with Kalajdzic and his representatives over a potential move, however, there has been no direct contact with VfB Stuttgart over a potential transfer.
Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Kalajdzic is one of a few strikers on Milan's shortlist and the Kalajdzic transfer would be one for the future, but they also report that a stumbling block in any potential transfer for the 23-year-old Austrian would be the price tag.
Stuttgart value the striker at €25m and this has been seen by Milan as too expensive, and they are said to be exploring other, cheaper options. Kalajdzic is still an option for Milan, but will most likely be a future option. Kalajdzic has been rumored to the Premier League as well, with Tottenham and Everton previously having an interest in the Austrian.
The 23-year-old netted 16 goals for Stuttgart in 33 appearances as he helped Stuttgart to a 9th-place finish on their return to the Bundesliga. He is currently on duty at EURO 2020 with Austria and started the game vs North Macedonia.
