According to reports from a Tunisian journalist, West Ham United are said to be interested in 1.FC Köln midfielder Ellyes Skhiri.

The Tunisian journalist in question is Walid Elmechri, who works for foot24.tn, has reported that West Ham and Sevilla are the 2 clubs who are said to be after the midfielder.
Elmechri says that the Köln board rejected an €8m offer from French giants Olympique Lyon, and he also suggests that the 2 clubs chasing the midfielder's signature are the desired destinations for the Tunisian international.

Skhiri played 32 games for Köln last season and played a big part in Köln retaining their Bundesliga status for next season. Skhiri amassed 5 goals and 2 assists in the Bundesliga season including a goal in Köln's 5-1 victory over Holstein Kiel in the relegation 2nd leg and according to WhoScored, the Tunisian made an average of 2.6 tackles and 2.6 interceptions per 90 minutes during the Bundesliga season.
