FC Köln confirm they have turned down an offer for Sebastiaan Bornauw

FC Köln have rejected a bid for Sebastiaan Bornauw amid reported interest from Wolfsburg.
FC Köln have turned down an offer for Sebastiaan Bornauw, sporting director Alexander Wehrle has confirmed.

According to reports, Wolfsburg have tabled an €8 million bid for the 22-year-old, but Köln are holding out for €15 million.

"We have told [Bornauw's agent] Daniel van Buyten that the offer is not acceptable to us, and that we can imagine Sebastiaan continuing to play for us next season," Wehrle told Bild.

If they manage to reach an agreement with Köln, Wolfsburg could bring in the centre-back as a replacement for Maxence Lacroix, who is being linked with RB Leipzig in particular.
