Matchday 22 – team of the week (4-1-2-1-2):

Goalkeeper: Sven Ulreich, Bayern München
Replacing Manuel Neuer isn't exactly the easiest job in the world, but Sven Ulreich has done extremely well in Neuer's absence. In the 2-1 win against Schalke, he once again made several good saves, including an impressive reflex save after a shot from Breel Embolo.

Right-back: Serge Gnabry, Hoffenheim
The former Arsenal player once again makes the team of the week after another highly impressive performance on the right wing-back. He was involved in three of Hoffenheim's goals in the 4-2 win over Mainz and was arguably the best player on the pitch.

Centre-back: Dayot Upamecano, RB Leipzig
Got his first senior goal in the 2-0 win against FC Augsburg. Won most of his duels without committing a single free-kick and found his teammates with 90 percent of his passes.

Centre-back: Marco Russ, Eintracht Frankfurt
Was strong in his duels, brought the ball well forward from the defense and scored from a nice header in the 4-2 win over FC Köln.

Left-back: Ludwig Augustinsson, Werder Bremen
Scored his first Bundesliga goal in Werder's 3-1 win over Wolfsburg and played a solid match both defensively and offensively.

Defensive midfielder: Waldemar Anton, Hannover 96
Won many balls in the defensive midfield and scored a rare goal as he struck the ball well from distance in the 2-1 win over Freiburg.

Right midfielder: Marius Wolf, Eintracht Frankfurt
A constant threat on Frankfurt's right side and was involved in almost every attack. Scored the fourth goal in the 4-2 win over Köln.

Left midfielder: Florian Kainz, Werder Bremen
Scored two great goals – the first of them a stunning curly shot into the far corner – in Werder's 3-1 win over Wolfsburg.

Offensive midfielder: Thomas Müller, Bayern München
Scored a cheeky winner as he beat Ralf Fährmann at the front post in Bayern's 2-1 win over Schalke 04. Also provoked Bayern's first goal as Robert Lewandowski scored from the rebound after Fährmann couldn't hold onto a shot from Müller.

Striker: Adam Szalai, Hoffenheim
Scored twice and did very well in the hold-up play in Hoffenheim's 4-2 win over Mainz.

Striker: Emil Berggreen, Mainz
The Dane was handed his first Bundesliga start in 2018 and responded with two goals as he did his best to keep Mainz in the game in the loss against Hoffenheim.
