Kruse given time to consider his future

Werder Bremen won't put pressure on Max Kruse to make a decision about his future.
Werder Bremen captain Max Kruse's contract is set to run out in the summer of 2019. Still, the club are not pushing for a decision on the striker's future, Werder sporting director Frank Baumann says.

"By June 30 at the latest, he must make a decision," Baumann said in an interview with Bild.

Reportedly, Kruse has a dream of playing in the American MLS at some point of his career. He also considered an offer from an unnamed European top club during the summer.

Kruse, 30, joined Werder Bremen from Wolfsburg in 2016. Since then, he has made 62 appearances for the club, netting 24 times.
