Thomas Müller declares himself fit to face England

Thomas Müller has said he is fit and available to face England.
Thomas Müller has declared himself fit for Germany's Euro 2020 last-16 clash with England at Wembley in London on Tuesday.

After picking up a knock in Germany's 4-2 win over Portugal, the 31-year-old only made the bench for the 2-2 draw against Hungary, which saw him come on during the second half.

But Müller is now back in full training and insists he is fully fit to face England.

"If I had problems, I wouldn't have trained today. I still feel something, but the injury doesn't hinder me. It doesn't pose a problem for Tuesday," he said at a pre-match press conference.

Having conceded in their last six games, Germany will need to improve at the back to beat England, according to Müller.

"Against England, it will be crucial that we don't concede a goal. We haven't been good enough at keeping clean sheets," said the Bayern star.

"Having spirit and being willing to contest challenges all while constantly supporting each other - that needs to be our goal.

"As a team, our success depends on us working together. That's one of the strengths of German football."
