Two Bundesliga clubs revealed their plans to allow live supporters when the 59th German Bundesliga season kicks off on the weekend of August 13th.
The club revealed details of their "hygiene-concept" on Monday. Entry into the venue will require both a negative test certificate and proof of vaccination. Additionally, social distancing guidelines within the stadium will remain in effect. Gladbach will actually test drive the concept during a July 30th test match against Dutch side FC Groningen on July 30th.
Ostensibly, there should be live fans at all nine Bundesliga fixtures when the league debuts. Thus far, however, only Gladbach and the Pfalz's FSV Mainz 05 have revealed concepts. The Rheinhessen announced on Monday that they hoped to permit 13,000 season ticket holders through the turnstiles on Saturday, August 14th for the opening match against RB Leipzig.
This figure corresponds to nearly 40 percent capacity at the Opel Arena. Mainz deferred further details about their own concept until Wednesday.
