KFC Uerdingen have managed to sign ex-Bundesliga players such as Dominic Maroh, Stefan Aigner, Kevin Grosskreutz and Maximilian Beister.

But, apparently, the wealthy 3. Liga club haven't been able to convince Eintracht Frankfurt legend Alex Meier to join the club.

According to Der Westen, Meier, who is available on a free transfer, has rejected an offer from the high-flying club.

The 35-year-old striker has been without a club since his contract with Frankfurt ran out in the summer. Meier made 379 appearances for Frankfurt and scored 137 goals.
