Upamecano starts Bayern training after RB Leipzig agree to release him
RB Leipzig have agreed to let Dayot Upamecano begin training with his new club Bayern München today.
Dayot Upamecano will start training with Bayern München today after RB Leipzig agreed to release the centre-back early from his contract.
Bayern München paid €42.5 million to sign Upamecano after activating a release clause, which stated that the 22-year-old would remain a Leipzig player until 15 July.
However, after reaching 'an amicable solution' with RB Leipzig, Bayern have now announced that Upamecano is one of 19 players, who will take part in the first training session under new coach Julian Nagelsmann this week.
The German champions also stated that 'the internationals who were in action at the European Championship will start training in the course of July'.
