Hannover 96's Wimmer has no plans of returning to England

Kevin Wimmer, who is currently on loan at Hannover 96 from Stoke City, says he doesn't want to return to England.
During the summer, former FC Köln defender Kevin Wimmer returned to Germany as he joined Hannover 96 on a one-year loan deal from English Championship side Stoke City.

Even though Wimmer hasn't been signed permanently by Hannover 96, he underlines that he wants to stay in Germany and that he has no plans of returning to England when the loan deal expires.

"I clicked with the team and the coaching staff straight away. In addition to that, I have many friends nearby. Köln is not so far away, and I have many friends there as well. I hope to stay here for more than just one year. Nothing will change that," Wimmer told Sportbuzzer and added:

"Unfortunately, the transfer fees are higher in England. I will definitely do all I can to stay here."

The 25-year-old Austrian international joined Tottenham in 2015. After spending two seasons in London, he signed for Stoke City in 2017.
