Report: Dortmund willing to lower asking price for Brandt

Borussia Dortmund are willing to lower their asking price for their German attacking midfielder Julian Brandt.
Brandt has been set for an exit from the Signal Iduna Park after an underwhelming 2020/21 season for Die Schwarzgelben as was on the verge of joining Arsenal in the winter window, however, negotiations halted and the deal never went through.

According to Italian publication Il Messaggero, Serie A side Lazio are said to be heavily interested in the 25-year-old and have held talks with the German side to get a deal done. Initially, BVB were asking for €30 million for Brandt, but after some positive talks between the club officials, Dortmund have had their head turned towards lowering their asking price.

Dortmund are now willing to accept an offer in the region of €18-20 million, and this has strengthened Lazio's interest in Brandt.

It was reported earlier this week that Julian Brandt was going to be given a second chance with Dortmund under new head coach Marco Rose, but following these latest developments, it looks like Lazio are going to put in a concrete offer for Brandt which Dortmund can accept.

Brandt amassed 3 goals and 2 assists from 31 Bundesliga appearances in 2020/21, which were disappointing numbers considering the numbers he put up in 2019/20 where he netted 3 times and provided 8 assists.
