SC Freiburg winger Vincenzo Grifo has opened up on his dream of playing in the Italian Serie A.

The 28-year-old Italian international has spent his entire career in Germany so far, but has previously admitted that he would like to play in the Serie A at some point.

Asked if he's still keen on that plan, Grifo told Sky:

"I'm often asked this question, and I've often mentioned that playing in the Serie A is a dream for me. Both as a young boy and as an adult, I've always kept an eye on the league. But when is the right time and when does it fit? I haven't thought too much about that yet, because I was happy to come back here to my boys. Everyone knows that I've found a kind of second family in Freiburg."

Grifo then went on to admit that he has a soft spot for Inter.

"I used to be a fan of Inter. Now, I'm a sympathizer. I used to buy jerseys and I've personally been to the San Siro for the Milan derby - a great atmosphere. But I haven't been a fan for a few years now, because the older you get, the less of a fan you become - especially if you're a footballer yourself," he said.
