Hertha are understood to be ready to sell the 23-year-old forward if a suitable offer comes in.
Whether the German capital club will recoup the €20 million fee they paid to sign him from Watford two years ago is doubtful, though.
Lukebakio has featured a total of 63 times for Hertha, racking up 15 goals and 13 assists.
His contract runs for another three years.
