According to the latest Sport Bild report, Goretzka is way off monetary terms with the Bavarian giants – as he is demanding €20 million per year as opposed to the club who are willing to settle for around half that amount.

The proceedings at Munich are being followed closely by Real Madrid, who want to secure the 26-year-old on a free transfer as his contract expires in 2022, according to the latest report from MARCA via Bild.

He has reportedly already rejected a contract offer from Bayern at the end of the previous season, as he is willing to listen to new deals – possibly from other top European clubs.

Manchester United are also said to be keeping a close eye as they seek for Paul Pogba’s replacement if he leaves.

Real Madrid are no strangers to acquiring players from Bayern after having lured David Alaba on a free transfer this summer. Toni Kroos is another major transfer who has gone on to achieve leaps and bounds in the Spanish capital.
