Bensebaini sidelined for several weeks

Gladbach all but confirmed that left-back Ramy Bensebaini would be sidelined through the season opener on Thursday.
In addition to the bad news regarding Lars Stindl, Adi Hütter's Fohlen look to make their debut absent another starting XI regular. On Thursday the club confirmed that Ramy Bensebaini had suffered a muscle injury on his right thigh. Though the club did not officially furnish a timetable for his return, a local newspaper put the fullback out of two to three weeks.

The Rheinische Post speculates that the Algerian will remain out through the DFB Pokal fixture against 1. FC Kaiserslautern on August 9th and the season opener against Bayern on August 13th. Personnel-wise, matters get somewhat interesting at the BMG back. Young prospect Andreas Poulsen could get the start on the left. Stefan Lainer could also switch sides while Joe Scally gets a run out on the right.
