Confirmed: Schalke ship Boujellab out on loan to Ingolstadt

One of FC Schalke 04's young talents will be spending the season on loan in Bavaria at a separate 2. Bundesliga club.
Schalke and FC Ingolstadt confirmed a season-long-loan deal for 22-year-old midfielder Nassim Boujellab on Sunday. The homegrown Knappenschmiede talent has made a total of 30 appearances for the S04 senior side over the past three seasons.

He scored his first and only Bundesliga goal during a 2-2 draw against Augsburg in the 11th round of last year's campaign. Many will recall this fixture as the one in which Schalke's Mark Uth suffered a horrific head collision and lay unconscious on the pitch for several scary minutes.

Boujellab himself took a nasty knock during an aerial duel and scored with a turban wrapped around his head.

FCI managing director Malte Metzelder called the Moroccan international "a great fit for us".

Boujellab himself expressed an eagerness to "prove what I'm capable of."
