Whilst everyone awaits final confirmation of the Donyell Malen deal, Sky Germany reports that Borussia Dortmund are preparing an offer for their next transfer target.

Borussia Dortmund have made no secret of the status of the impending Donyell Malen detail. On Sunday, the club went so far as to publish the fact that the 22-year-old arrived the club's training camp and passed his medical. According to a post on the club's official twitter feed, "a few final details require clarification."

According to German media reports from Kicker Magazine and Sport Bild these "final details" revolve around the final numbers. It has been reported that the BVB managed to rebuff the €40 million demand and will sign Malen for around €30 million.

Presumably, the player is set to be introduced either late tonight or early tomorrow.

Meanwhile, Sky Germany reports that the Schwarzgelben have their next target lined up. In a recent interview with Sport Bild, BVB manager Michael Zorc admitted that the squad needed some additional assistance in central defense.

"Of course, we don't have many central defenders at the moment," Zorc conceded, "We will continue to monitor the situation closely, without engaging in any panic buying."

Sky's German affiliate links Dortmund with Merit Demiral of Juventus Turin. The 23-year-old Turkish international is apparently the choice to shore up a section of the roster prone to serious problems should Mats Hummels, Manuel Akanji, and Dan Axel-Zagadou struggle with injuries again this year.

Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reports that the Italian "old Lady" doesn't wish to entertain offers below the €35-40 million range. Demiral's current market value is listed as €28 million. Atalanta Bergamo have also been linked with him.
