Sasa Kalajdzic tested positive for coronavirus

Sasa Kalajdzic is the latest Bundesliga player to test positive for COVID-19.
VfB Stuttgart have been rocked by the news that Sasa Kalajdzic has tested positive for coronavirus.

The Bundesliga outfit have announced today that their Austrian star striker has been placed in self-isolation after receiving a positive test result.

"The positive finding for Sasa and the resulting necessary isolation are bitter news for us and, of course, especially for Sasa. First and foremost, we care about about Sasa's health, we hope for a symptom-free course and wish him all the best for the coming days," commented Stuttgart sporting director Sven Mislintat.

"Since the outbreak of the pandemic, we have consistently adhered to the existing hygiene concepts and also implemented additional measures to minimize the risk of infection for the team and the coaching and support staff. The fact that Sasa nevertheless became infected shows that, despite strict rules, you can't feel safe at any time."
