Confirmed: Gladbach loan out homegrown talent to Belgian first division

Borussia Mönchengladbach announced a loan-out for 19-year-old homegrown talent Rocco Reitz on Tuesday.
Teenage talent Rocco Reitz impressed last season in his lone start for the Borussia Mönchengladbach first team. Unfortunately, the homegrown player wasn't able to accrue any more playing time with the team after the fifth round of the 2020/21 campaign.

BMG sporting director sporting director Max Eberl explained that he hoped the youngster would find more practice this year when announcing a season-long loan-out to Sint-Truidense V.V. in the Belgian first division.

"Rocco is one of our homegrowns in whom we firmly believe in," Eberl said of the Duisburg native, "However, due to the high level of competition in defensive midfield, he would probably get very little playing time with us this season. At his age, it's important that he play regularly."
