SS Lazio have turned their attention to Eintracht Frankfurt winger Filip Kostic after negotiations with Borussia Dortmund over attacking midfielder Julian Brandt collapsed completely.

The Serbian winger has become priority number 1 for the Serie A side after the closing of the Brandt negotiations, but an issue has cropped up in the plans of signing Kostic.
As reported by the Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport, Kostic's non-EU status is proving to be a stumbling block for the Biancocelesti in their efforts to sign the 28-year-old, and as a result, other alternatives are being brought up.
Another Bundesliga winger is said to be the main alternative if Lazio cannot complete the signing of Filip Kostic, and that winger is Wolfsburg winger Josip Brekalo.
Brekalo has stated his intentions to leave this summer, after handing in a transfer request earlier this month. So Brekalo is definitely available for Lazio and is an alternative for Kostic as well as Liverpool winger Xherdan Shaqiri and Real Sociedad winger Adnan Januzaj.
