Report: Zentner to remain Mainz's first-choice goalkeeper

Mainz coach Bo Svensson is reportedly set to stick with Robin Zentner as his first-choice goalkeeper.
Robin Zentner will remain Mainz's first-choice goalkeeper ahead of Finn Dahmen, according to Allgemeine Zeitung.

When asked about his goalkeepers at a press conference ahead of Sunday's DFB-Pokal clash with Elversberg on Sunday, Mainz coach Bo Svensson did not want to reveal who would be his number one for the new season.

Svensson then opted to let Zentner start in the cup, and he has reportedly decided to stick with the 26-year-old.

Zentner was in a similar situation before last season, at which point he saw off competition from Florian Müller, who was sent out on loan and later sold to VfB Stuttgart.
