Is Dennis Zakaria (24) spoilt for choice?

According to Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Max Eberl, Zakaria has a lot of offers on the table. Information from SportBild and Christian Falk report at least three clubs from England - Arsenal, Everton and Spurs - are interested in the Gladbach midfielder. And if he decides England is not his preferred destination, AS Roma and SSC Napoli could be looking to employ him as well.

With such a plethora of choices, it will be interesting to see which challenge interests Zakaria the most. With Gladbach failing to procure European football for this season, it seems unlikely that Zakaria will extend, and Gladbach would understandably want to sell him this summer as opposed to letting him go for free next year.

The amount needed to sit at the table with Gladbach still remains to be seen, while he is one of their most prized assets, Gladbach do want a deal to go through. With the number of clubs involved, however, Eberl could decide to negotiate shrewdly. Something does seem to be in the works, with Eberl adding fuel to the rumor engine when recently speaking to Kicker:

"With Zakaria, there are one or two things that are becoming very concrete. We'll have to see what happens in the next few days and weeks."

The 1.90 meter midfield marshal featured for Switzerland at the Euros this summer and has been trying to keep his fitness levels up. It still remains to be seen if he can get back to his pre-injury form that saw him become the go to man in the Foals midfield.

Nonetheless, the fact that he is a sought after man despite not being at the peak of his form is a testament to his quality, and his performances speak for themselves. Zakaria would undoubtedly be a great signing for whichever badge he decides to pledge allegiance to.
