Official: Waldschmidt signs for Wolfsburg
Luca Waldschmidt has completed his switch to Volkswagen Arena.
VfL Wolfsburg have completed the signing of Luca Waldschmidt from SL Benfica.
The former SC Freiburg forward has signed a four-year deal with 'Die Wölfe'.
"We’ve been following Luca’s development for a while now and we’re happy he’s decided to come to VfL," commented Wolfsburg sporting director Marcel Schäfer.
"Luca has already demonstrated in the Bundesliga, and elsewhere, that he’s a very dangerous forward who can play anywhere in attack, so he’s very flexible. He’s perfectly suited to our team, not just in terms of his footballing ability but also his personality. He’s far from the end of his development and so we’re looking forward to pursuing our objectives with him."
