Hertha confirm Belfodil capture
Ishak Belfodil has left Hoffenheim to sign for Hertha BSC.
Hertha BSC have completed the signing of Ishak Belfodil on a permanent deal from Bundesliga rivals TSG Hoffenheim.
"I'm glad we could persuade Ishak to join us. He’s an established striker with a lot of experience and he has proved his composure in front of goal on numerous occasions. He's got a good eye for goal and will add something more to our attack," said Hertha managing director for sport Fredi Bobic.
Belfodil, 29, commented:
"After three years at Hoffenheim I was looking for a new challenge. I am glad to be here in Berlin, signing for Hertha.
"I absolutely want to show just what I can do and help the team to a much more successful season than last!"
In total, the Algerian striker found the net 18 times in 60 games for Hoffenheim.
