Borussia Dortmund are working on a deal to sign Marin Pongracic on loan from VfL Wolfsburg, according to Sky Germany.
Dortmund coach Marco Rose knows Pongracic from their joint time at RB Salzburg and likes the versatility of the 23-year-old, who is capable of playing in the centre and on the right side of defence.
'Die Schwarzgelben' were initially hoping to bring in Diogo Dalot for the right back position, but Manchester United are unlikely to let the Portuguese international go because they can't find a suitable replacement.
Pongracic has fallen behind John Anthony Brooks, Maxence Lacroix and Sebastiaan Bornauw in the pecking order at Wolfsburg and has yet to feature for the club this season.
'Die Wölfe' put €10 million on the table to sign him from RB Salzburg in January 2020.
