Merry-go-round at right back for Hertha?

Amidst reports that Deyo Zeefuik could be headed to Fulham, could Hertha turn to an old friend in Weiser for the right back position?
It has not worked out for Deyovaisio Zeefuik (23) at Hertha. The Dutchman joined last year as a player wanted by Pal Dardai for 3 million Euros from FC Groningen. However, it seems that he is already on his way out with reports in England claiming that he is a target for Fulham. Hertha should not have a problem selling, provided they find a replacement in time.

The replacement could be readily available in the form of ex-Hertha player Mitchell Weiser (27). Weiser has recently expressed his desire to leave Leverkusen as he seems to have no prospects to play for the factory club. Simon Rolfes will certainly not stand in the way of a move for Weiser, who still has two years left on his contract.

However, it will be interesting to see how Leverkusen react to a deadline day bid as Weiser is the only backup for Jeremie Frimpong, with Timothy Fosu-Mensah out for the medium term.

Leverkusen would not mind letting an out of favor player like Weiser go, but will they look for a replacement on deadline day, especially after Sporting Director Rolfes said that their transfer plans were complete with the signing of Amine Adli? Thankfully, if something is to happen, it won't be long before we see it materialize as the deadline day countdown ticks on.
