Dortmund get four internationals back early, Flick says Reus injury "not too serious."

Dortmund confirmed on Tuesday that Giovanni Reyna (USA) and Thomas Meunier (Belgium) are already back with the team after sustaining injury on international duty.

Meunier's Belgium teammate Axel Witsel and team captain Marco Reus are also headed back for the team's training pitch.
Availability for the weekend fixture against Leverkusen isn't clear in the case of any one player yet, but Borussia Dortmund do have four of their players back early from the international break. Giovanni Reyna and Thomas Meunier have already rejoined the team. Axel Witsel and Marco Reus should do so today.

Reyna, who suffered a hamstring injury while on international duty for the USMNT, underwent further examinations on Tuesday on what the club labelled a "tendon area injury". The BVB also divulged that Reyna had been subbed off early in his most recent league match with an apparently unrelated thigh issue.

Meunier must also undergo evaluations for muscular problems while no reason for Witsel's departure from the Belgium national team has been given. The latter Belgian international, himself coming off a nasty ACL tear that sidelined him through the second half of last season, has been filling in as an emergency center back for the BVB.

German Bundestrainer Hansi Flick has elaborated a bit on the knee injury that prevented him from taking Reus to Iceland for the German national team's final fixture of the international break.

Flick provided some hopeful news by calling the injury "not too serious" and saying "another recovery day" would have enabled Reus to be eligible for Wednesday's match.
