Hertha confirm loss of Jovetic for minimum of two weeks
The news gets worse for last-place (and still without a single point) Hertha BSC.
On Wednesday, the club confirmed the loss of its only active goalscorer this season for a minimum of two weeks.
Stevan Jovetic has scored Hertha BSC's lone goal from open play this season; the opening tally in the opening round's losing effort against 1. FC Köln. The now departed Dodi Lukebakio converted a penalty in the second round--after arguing with Davie Selke about who would take the spot kick--before the team was embarrassingly dismantled in a 0-5 shellacking away at Bayern.

The club confirmed on Wednesday that the Montenegrin in fact re-aggravated the calf injury that saw him subbed off in the Bayern fixture. The 31-year-old actually didn't log any minutes for his national team over the break, but apparently irritated his calf further on the training pitch. Jovetic is confirmed out for both the round four fixture against Bochum and round five's match against SpVgg Greuther Fürth.
There has been no further clarification of Hertha's precarious trainer situation since Pal Dardai effectively offered his resignation after the last loss. New sporting CEO Fredi Bobic publicly reprimanded Dardai for the remark, but obviously cannot force the Hungarian to remain against his will.
