Official: Bayern sign Croat phenom Lovro Zvonarek

A much-discussed 16-year-old Croat phenom now officially belongs to the Bayern Campus.

As the club confirmed on Friday evening, Lovro Zvonarek will report to the Säbener Straße in the summer of 2022.
Multiple speculative reports over the course of the week, have now been confirmed. After concluding the campaign with current club Nogometni klub Slaven Belupo, 16-year-old midfield prospect Lovro Zvonarek will be headed to the Bundesrepublik to join the academy of Germany's football giants.

Bayern München confirmed that the teenager passed a Thursday medical and that the club had signed him to a contract on Friday.

At present, there is no new information concerning the details of the deal. Germany's main sporting tabloid reported earlier in the week that the FCB would pay a base transfer fee of approximately €1.8 million, rising to as high as €5 million with performance bonuses.

"Bayern is one of the biggest and most successful clubs in the world," the youngster said in a statement, "The prospect of playing here in the future and wearing this jersey fills me with pride. It also motivates me to work harder on my game every day."

The Bayern Academy itself welcomed the player on their social media channel, noting that he had signed a "long-term contract".
