Bundesliga Team of the Season
Goalkeeper: Gregor Kobel, Borussia Dortmund
In what has been a disappointing and inconsistent domestic campaign for Dortmund, Kobel was one of their bright spots with a 77.8% save percentage and 34.2% clean sheet ratio.
Right-back: Jeremie Frimpong, Bayer Leverkusen
He's listed as a full-back in this team, but has actually played more like a forward for Leverkusen. A constant threat with his trickery, pace and runs in behind, Frimpong finished the season with nine goals and nine assists.
Centre-back: Jonathan Tah, Bayer Leverkusen
At the heart of Leverkusen's defence, Tah wasn't just vital in the defensive department, but also in the build-up. He finished the season with a pass completion percentage of 96.47, by far the best of any player in the league.
Centre-back: Waldemar Anton, VfB Stuttgart
Leading by example at the back for Stuttgart, Anton was rewarded for his consistent performances with a Germany debut in March and a call-up to the Euros. Like Tah, he played a key role in the build-up and in getting the ball forward.
Left-back: Alejandro Grimaldo, Bayer Leverkusen
Arguably the Bundesliga's signing of the season, Grimaldo scored 10 goals and laid on 14 assists from the left wing-back position following his free transfer from Benfica.
Central midfielder: Granit Xhaka, Bayer Leverkusen
He hasn't registered a single assist in the league this season, but don't let that fool you. With his experience, ball control and ability to find the right pass and link up the defence and attack, the 31-year-old has been a key part of Die Werkself's success.
Central midfielder: Angelo Stiller, VfB Stuttgart
From one midfield linchpin to another, Stiller's role for Stuttgart can be likened to Xhaka's for Leverkusen. Pulling the strings in the middle of the park, he was invaluable in Stuttgart's impressive second-place finish.
Attacking midfielder: Xavi Simons, RB Leipzig
Immediately broke into Leipzig's starting line-up after joining on loan from Paris Saint-Germain and established himself as the club's main creative force, scoring eight goals and laying on 13 assists in the league.
Attacking midfielder: Florian Wirtz, Bayer Leverkusen
The creative talisman of Leverkusen's title-winning campaign, Wirtz scored 11 goals and laid on 12 assists in the league, earning him the Bundesliga's Player of the Season award.
Striker: Harry Kane, Bayern Munich
Bayern Munich's 11-year title drought came to an end in Harry Kane's first season in Germany, but you can't really blame him for their slip-up. With 36 Bundesliga goals in 32 appearances, the England captain proved to be the clinical scorer Bayern needed - but unfortunately it wasn't enough to lift the trophy.
Striker: Serhou Guirassy, VfB Stuttgart
Guirassy enjoyed an extraordinary campaign with VfB Stuttgart, showing great versatility in the way he scored goals. His brace in Stuttgart's final game of the season took his tally to 28, an average of exactly one goal per league match.
