Angelo Stiller set for first Germany start on Monday
Julian Nagelsmann has once again opted for a new defensive midfield pairing for the Nations League game against the Netherlands.
This marks the seventh different defensive midfield duo that Nagelsmann has tested as Germany manager.
A problem position before and after Toni Kroos' comeback to the national side in March, no player has been able to cement this position.
Asked about Angelo Stiller and Aleksandar Pavlović, Julian Nagelsmann's press conference partner and player Antonio Rüdiger said: “About both of the boys, I think they have a big future ahead of them. Pavlović I knew beforehand. I must say I am a bit of a fan of Angelo Stiller and I played against him in the Champions League.”
He added: “I was impressed by his (Angelo's) calmness on the ball. He was rarely nervous and has a big future ahead of him if he stays fit.”
