Stuttgart updates: Torunarigha and Bruun Larsen linked with VfB moves

German transfer guru Florian Plettenberg reports that - in addition to TSG 1899 Hoffenheim - VfB Stuttgart are also interested in bringing Jordan Torunarigha back to German football.

In other Stuttgart-related transfer news, Danish online sports journal "Bold" reports that the 2023/24 Bundesliga runners-up are eyeing up Danish winger Jacob Bruun Larsen as a potential Chris Führich replacement.

Sky Germany's Florian Plettenberg reports that VfB Stuttgart are also considering brining former German youth international Jordan Torunarigha back to German football. The former Hertha BSC center back has recently been linked with TSG 1899 Hoffenheim. The 26-year-old - currently playing at KAA Gent in Belgium - possesses a similar skill set and physical build to VfB central defender Dan-Axel Zagadou, who is attempting yet another comeback from yet another major injury.

Torunarigha may not be the only "mirror image" player Stuttgart are targeting at the moment. As departure rumors continue to swirl around German winger Chris Führich, Danish journalist Martin Schmidt of online sports journal "bold.dk" reports that Hoffenheim winger Jacob Bruun Larsen may be the desired replacement. The 25-year-old - who once worked under current VfB trainer Sebastian Hoeneß at Hoffenheim - has recently found his feet once again on loan at Burnley.

Both players could be signed for fees in the €3-8 million range, rendering them economical signings for the new surprisingly German Champions' League representatives. Bruun Larsen - having snuck onto Kasper Hjulmand's Danish national team with his solid performances this year - nevertheless maintains links with several Premiership sides with deeper pockets. West Ham and Everton are both thought to be interested in purchasing him from the Kraichgauer.
