Around six months after suffering a broken fibula at the Club World Cup, Jamal Musiala is back in full training and closing in on a return to action.

"Jamal is training with the team again and will gradually get playing minutes," Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund told Merkur.

"An appearance in January is more than realistic. He was already hungry to play in December, and now we’re just happy he’s back. He still needs to build up match fitness."

Freund added that Musiala’s joy at being back is clear for all to see.

"You can tell how much effort he’s putting in to get back on the pitch. He’s really excited about football, about the daily life with the team, about the dressing room. He radiates positivity it’s just a joy to see. Jamal is glowing in a positive way," Freund said.
