With Matchday 21 behind us, Bulinews Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff has selected his Team of the Week, which lines up in a 4-3-3 formation:
Goalkeeper:
Daniel Batz, Mainz
Made six crucial saves to help Mainz secure a clean sheet against Augsburg.
Defenders:
Manolis Saliakas, St. Pauli
The wing-back was pivotal in St. Pauli’s win over Stuttgart, opening the scoring with a clinical finish while contributing tirelessly both defensively and offensively down the right flank.
Willi Orban, RB Leipzig
A rock at the back, the Hungarian centre-back won an impressive 10 duels and kept Leipzig steady defensively in their 2-1 win.
Max Rosenfelder, Freiburg
Delivered a composed defensive performance to help Freiburg maintain a clean sheet with 10 men against Werder Bremen. Won four duels and completed 97% of his passes.
David Raum, RB Leipzig
Energetic as ever on the left, Raum created five key passes and provided an assist, combining defensive work with attacking threat.
Midfielders:
Joshua Kimmich, FC Bayern
Pulled the strings in midfield with a 94% pass completion rate and dominated his duels, winning five.
Nadiem Amiri, Mainz
Stepped up to score both penalties in Mainz’s 2-0 win over Augsburg, while also contributing three key passes. A standout performance for the midfield talisman.
Christoph Baumgartner, RB Leipzig
Returned from suspension to score both goals in Leipzig’s 2-1 win over 1. FC Köln, leading his side with clinical finishing and intelligent movement.
Strikers:
Jan-Niklas Beste, Freiburg
Scored a brilliant solo goal, slotting into the far corner to secure Freiburg’s 1-0 win over Werder Bremen.
Harry Kane, FC Bayern
Converted a brace from the penalty spot in Bayern’s 5-1 victory over Hoffenheim. He could have scored a hat-trick with a little more luck, but Hoffenheim goalkeeper Oliver Baumann kept him from a third.
Luis Diaz, FC Bayern
Bayern’s standout performer against Hoffenheim, Diaz won two penalties and bagged a hat-trick.
