Cavan Sullivan smashes Albert’s record as Tillman scores in USMNT’s big win over Mexico

The United States recorded a big win over fierce rivals Mexico in a friendly played at State Farm Stadium. Cavan Sullivan stole headlines as his goal breaks the record for the youngest goalscorer in USMNT history, which was set four days earlier by Borussia Dortmund's Mathis Albert against Chile.
Sullivan, who is now linked with Real Madrid and Barcelona despite his pre-contract agreement with Manchester City, scored his historic goal six days after turning 17. Bayer Leverkusen’s Malik Tillman extended his impressive scoring record with his fourth goal in five games after Mexico reduced to ten.
Tillman then substituted off as Albert entered foray in his place for the closing stage of the game. Meanwhile, former Dortmund youngster and current Elversberg winger Cole Campbell was an unused substitute as he was included in Mauricio Pochettino’s squad for the first time.
The Bundesliga trio will have one more match before returning to their respective clubs as USMNT host Jesse Marsch's Canada in Minnesota.
