Como "extremely satisfied" with Dortmund loanee Yan Couto

The Brazilian's successful loan stint in Lombardy to date could result in Dortmund recouping the fee they paid for him in 2024 if Como opt to activate the release clause.

Como 1907, coached by Cesc Fabregas, are reportedly “extremely satisfied” with the work of Borussia Dortmund loanee Yan Couto thus far.

This exclusive information was also recently communicated directly to Dortmund's management, according to newspaper WAZ.

For all three parties – Como, Borussia Dortmund, and the player himself – the loan deal is going completely according to plan.

This also means that the conditions for a permanent transfer are quite favorable thanks to the agreed purchase option.

The Serie A club can sign the 24-year-old permanently from the Westphalians for a reported transfer fee of €22million.

If Como decides to take this step, Dortmund will likely be extremely happy – after all, they paid a hefty sum for the Couto deal.

The Brazilian joined BVB in 2024 on loan from Manchester City with an obligation to buy; the entire package reportedly cost €25million.

Couto never really managed to establish himself at Dortmund, failing to impress Niko Kovač in his total of 62 appearances.

The situation is quite different in Lombardy with the Brazilian starting all six matches domestically and in the Champions League.
