As reported by FCB Inside, Bayern Munich are apparently concerned over the future of central defender Dayot Upamecano.
Even though the club only managed to extend Upamecano's contract early until 2030 last February, it's believed he has an exit cause too.
As previously reported after the contract extension, Upamecano is said to have a release clause that becomes active summer of 2027.
According to this report, the center-back could leave the Bavarian giants for a fixed transfer fee in the region of €65 million.
For comparison, worryingly for those at Bayern, his current market value is estimated at €75 million – and rising sharply.
This agreement has not yet been officially confirmed, but Bayern would have limited room for maneuver in the event of an incoming offer.
Given the Frenchman's current performances in Kompany's team, the transfer fee could be attractive to several top European clubs.
“He is currently playing at an incredible level,” said Toni Kroos recently after the convincing performance against Atlético Madrid.
