The atmosphere ahead of tonight's second-leg Champions League semi-final clash between Bayern and PSG is already tense hours before kick-off at the Allianz Arena.
French reporter Arthur Perrot of RMC Sport writes that a physical altercation broke out between supporters of both clubs on the way to the stadium in Munich.
According to reports, PSG fans were initially harassed by Bayern Munich supporters on a Munich U-Bahn (subway) and ultimately forced off the carriages.
Due to heavy smoke, the subway had to be evacuated. Bavarian police arrived quickly and instantly ordered the Parisian ultras to leave the station.
RMC's report states that 15 PSG fans were reportedly pursued by around 60 masked German supporters. Some of those involved were said to be wearing red balaclavas.
A large-scale police operation was immediately organized to bring the situation under control and prevent further escalation. There is no information regarding injuries or arrests made.
