Four more Bundesliga teams will play their respective second round DFB-Pokal ties on Tuesday night.

VfL Bochum vs. 1. FSV Mainz 05

Mainz will hope to translate their excellent away Bundesliga form in the DFB-Pokal as they face Uwe Rösler's Bochum. The 2. Bundesliga outfit survived a late scare to share the spoils against promotion favorites Wolfsburg on Friday.

Phillip Tietz, who already matched his last season's tally of five Bundesliga goals, scored four times when Mainz beat Oberliga side Krieschow 9-0 in the first round of the DFB-Pokal. Bochum beat fellow 2. Bundesliga outfit Greuther Fürth 2-1 to avoid a third first round exit in four years.

SG Sonnenhof Großaspach vs. FC Augsburg

After the disappointment of the weekend's draw with Union Berlin, Augsburg will face 3. Liga debutants Sonnenhof Großaspach. The hosts are struggling in third-tier as their 7-1 defeat in Wiesbaden left them only a single point above the relegation zone.

Augsburg started the Bundesliga campaign by topping the standings for the first time in the club's history, but they're now five games without a win. Manuel Baum's side frustrated by Union Berlin despite playing more than 50 minutes with an extra man advantage.

Borussia Mönchengladbach vs. Karlsruher SC

The two teams headed into the cup tie with contrasting results in their respective leagues. Gladbach recorded their first points of the season in their 3-2 win at Champions League participants Stuttgart, while Karlsruhe conceded half a dozen goals against Magdeburg.

As a coincidence, the two teams also met at Borussia-Park last season on October 28th. The Bundesliga club won that tie 3-1, with Shuto Machino scoring the opening goal in the third minute. The Japanese international was also on target against Stuttgart on the weekend.

SV 07 Elversberg vs. SV Darmstadt 98

Elversberg and Darmstadt were in direct competition in the promotion race last season. In their first-ever Bundesliga season, Elversberg surprised everyone with their expansive football style and positive results.

However, they suffered their heaviest defeat so far on matchday 7 as they conceded four second-half goals to RB Leipzig. Florian Kohfeldt's side are bottom of the 2. Bundesliga standings, but they have similar points with five other teams in a tight relegation battle.
