On Wednesday, Borussia Dortmund announced that Felix Nmecha has signed a new contract running until 2030.

According to Bild, the deal includes a release clause: Nmecha could leave in 2027 for €80 million or in 2028 for €70 million, leaving Dortmund in a less-than-ideal negotiating position if other clubs express interest.

The German tabloid also reports that Nmecha’s salary has been doubled to €10 million per season.

The 25-year-old joined the Black and Yellows from Wolfsburg for a reported €30 million in 2023.

Since then, he has made 108 appearances for BVB, scoring 13 goals and providing eight assists.
