Carles Martínez has revealed that Ibrahim Maza is a slight doubt for Bayer Leverkusen's Europa League opener with NK Celje tomorrow. –

“We play at 9pm [CET], we have to wait and see how Ibo is doing. If he's fit, he'll play,” Martínez said during today's press conference.

The Spaniard also stated that despite his poor showing in Augsburg last Saturday, Mark Flekken will be trusted between the sticks.

"A new competition [Europa League] begins. My decision is that Mark will play. I've been in the football business for many years.

"I think mistakes are part of football, that's just how it is. When we win, we win as a team. And when we lose, we lose likewise.

"When we score a goal, I'm happy if Patrik Schick or Christian Kofane scored it, but a goal is always the achievement of the entire team.

"And when we concede a goal, the goalkeeper always has a responsibility—but he doesn't concede it alone.

“I think if we analyze eleven players on the field, then seven can do the task better,” the Spaniard explained to members of the media.
