After missing the first leg of Arsenal’s Champions League semi-final against Atlético Madrid last week due to injury, Kai Havertz is fit and available for Tuesday’s return leg.

Arsenal FC head coach Mikel Arteta confirmed on Monday that both Havertz and Norwegian captain Martin Ødegaard will be back in the squad.

“Yes, they are available; they are in the squad, both of them,” Arteta said.

“We need options, we need the capacity to play different games tomorrow, whether it’s from the start or after. So it’s really, really good news for us to have them both back.”

Havertz has spent significant time on the sidelines this season due to injuries.

The former Bayer Leverkusen attacker made his long-awaited return to Germany’s national team in March and is in line for a World Cup call-up, provided he avoids any further injury setbacks.
