Guirassy set for inclusion in Dortmund's squad to face Heidenheim

Serhou Guirassy could make his Borussia Dortmund debut against Heidenheim after recovering from injury.

Serhou Guirassy joined Borussia Dortmund from VfB Stuttgart in the summer, but has yet to feature for his new club after his medical revealed a knee injury.

Since then, the Guinea international has been working on his recovery and is now ready to be included in the squad for Friday's Bundesliga clash against Heidenheim.

Providing a squad update ahead of the game, Dortmund coach Nuri Sahin said:

“Gio Reyna will be out, he picked up an injury with the national team. Nico Schlotterbeck is suspended. Those should be the only absentees. Serhou Guirassy should be available.”

"He's making an excellent impression in training, there's no handbrake on anymore. He's behaving like a top player should. I'm glad he's back," he said, but wouldn't reveal whether the striker will be in the starting line-up.

Another new signing who has returned to fitness is Yan Couto.

“He has been training with us all week. Of course it hurts him that he couldn't play for the Brazilian national team. He took it professionally. If everything goes normally, he'll be there.”
