Bayern Munich star Harry Kane was handed the 2026 Ballon d'Or Striker of the Year award at a ceremony in London on Monday night.

Kane won the award after scoring more goals than any other player on the men's side during the 2025/26 campaign.

The 33-year-old England captain found the net 73 times for club and country throughout the season.

“It has truly been a magical year. What I’ve achieved has really meant a lot to me, and I’m extremely proud of it,” Kane said on stage.

"Without a doubt, this has been the best season of my career, and none of it would ever have been possible without all the people around me. Obviously, my teammates, both at my club and with the England national team, and of course, my coaches. I would never have been able to score all these goals without my teammates, or without giving everything in training and during matches.

“I’d also like to thank my family, of course. None of this would have been possible without them, and without the whole team around me who help me keep my feet on the ground. And then, of course, my wife, who is here. We're truly on this journey together, and I know it would be impossible without you. There are so many people I could thank right now, but obviously, I don’t want to offend anyone by leaving them out. Thank you very much.”

Kane is also among the top favourites for the Men's Player of the Year award, which will be handed out later on Monday night.
