Patrick Wimmer stole the show for VfL Wolfsburg on Saturday afternoon, scoring an impressive brace to lead his side to a 2-1 away win over Werder Bremen.

The performance earned praise from Wolfsburg coach Ralph Hasenhüttl, who believes the 23-year-old's qualities could take him far.

"He is incredibly dynamic and always difficult to defend against. He wins a lot of balls and his pace creates dangerous counter-attacks," said Hasenhüttl at his post-match press conference.

"He can't sit back, he must continue to develop, then he has a great future," he continued.

Wimmer has scored four goals and provided four assists in 24 appearances for Wolfsburg this season.
